Job purpose

The Marketing Lead for Glacier FarmMedia’s Marketplace business unit is responsible for defining marketing strategies to meet brand objectives, increase audience growth and reach revenue targets for each product. Their main focus will be creating marketing plans for a variety of brands, developing budgets against those plans, and managing the execution of these plans through diligent project management. In this role you will be focused on driving brand awareness, increasing audience engagement, and informing digital product development. This role will require a digitally savvy marketer who can perform both strategically and tactically.

Duties and responsibilities

Digital Marketing

  • Execute on delivering Marketplace products to its target audience through a variety of digital channels. 
  • Monitor Google and social channels daily and amplify our products in real time based on what’s trending and audience engagement.  
  • Drive audience growth and engagement throughout the Marketplace portfolio. 

Strategic Planning

  • Create marketing plans with the goal of meeting objectives for the products that fall within your portfolio.  
  • Work with a variety of internal and external media channels to build a marketing budget for the brands that fall within your portfolio. 
  • Contribute the overall marketing and brand strategy. 

Project Management

  • Manage marketing projects within the marketing plan to ensure tasks are being completed on time, on budget, and to a high-quality standard. 
  • Liaison with product leads and the Marketing Team to bring the highest level of marketing expertise to each brand.  

Qualifications

  • Degree in marketing, communications, business, or agriculture
  • 5 years of marketing experience
  • Thorough understanding of Google products including Google Analytics and Google Trends
  • Well-versed in a variety of social media platforms, with specific knowledge on Facebook Marketplace, paid and organic social advertising, and Facebook remarketing through tracking pixels
  • Understanding of a variety of marketing channels including digital, print, radio, out-of-home, social, media relations, and event marketing. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in conveying plans, ideas, and direction.
  • Ag industry background/experience will be considered an important asset

Working conditions

  • Fulltime, permanent position  
  • Some flexibility, weekend and after-hours may be required  
  • Travel is required during certain times of the year
