Glacier Media Group is a leading media company focused on the provision of essential information and related services through print and online media, including properties such as Vancouver Courier and Vancouver Is Awesome. The Digital team is responsible for enhancing revenue and managing the growth of our digital products, which include online display ads, SEO, search engine marketing, social media marketing and website development.

Role:

The primary function of the role is to lead a small team of digital ad specialists and ensure that they are able to effectively fulfill online advertising campaigns for our clients. This position involves using multiple platforms and tools in order to successfully deliver through all aspects of a campaign, including order entry, campaign fulfillment & optimization, and analysis & reporting. Strategic recommendations and process refinement are required to continuously improve our product offerings and support our sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team of four digital ad specialists, whose main duties include trafficking display ads, managing programmatic ad campaigns, and billing digital product orders for a large sales team throughout Western Canada.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to create and optimize programmatic ad campaigns, monitoring delivery as needed in providing ongoing quality assurance.
  • Proactively identify campaign challenges and coordinate with sales team to effectively deliver solutions.
  • Guide organizational strategy and provide recommendations on improving products, including the regular update of sales and operational collateral.
  • Lead a regular team meeting to review ad campaigns and identify process challenges and improvements, with the goal of increasing operational efficiency.
  • Set up and manage programmatic campaigns for top-tier clients.
  • Assist sales teams by effectively communicating product features with clients.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced knowledge of display and programmatic advertising.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Ad Manager.
  • Google Analytics expertise.
  • Google individual certifications.
  • Microsoft Excel skills, with an aptitude for pivot tables and data management.
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • Post-secondary education in a Media, Marketing, Business or Technology discipline.
  • Familiarity with HTML and web design.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Problem-solving, technical and strategic mindset, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with prioritizing work and delivering on commitments.
  • Dynamic, resourceful, and organized, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Well organized, a fast learner with strong analytical skills.
