Hudson Bay Post Review
In October of 1955 the Mazur brothers of Flin Flon established the Hudson Bay Post-Review, with A.B. Mazur as Managing Editor. When it was decided to experiment with the first-offset method of printing, Al Mazur, moved to Hudson Bay.
Thus it was that Hudson Bay was the home of the first photo-offset newspaper in Western Canada.
Al & Jean Mazur ran the paper until July of 1990 when they sold to Bob Gilroy of Dauphin MB.
The Gilroy’s sold the paper to Larry & Carrie Mitchell of Pasquia Publishing, Tisdale SK on January 1, 2002.
In August of 2004 the Mitchell’s sold their papers including the Post-Review to Glacier Ventures of Vancouver.
Manager Sherry Pilon who has been with the paper since 1994 is part of the staff of 3 that keeps the news flowing on the pages. Although the paper has seen many changes over the years, the quality of the paper remains the same. The paper is an integral part of the community.
